Do you even need a CV?

Most job applications require a CV. However, some jobs are given to people without following the right procedure. For instance, a father giving his daughter a job may not even interview her.

In this case, one needs a CV sample to create an attractive copy for the next job consideration. And as it was defined, there are some selected qualities that new employers expect to see in your next CV design, and here we are.

The New Career Qualities

If you lost your new job application, a CV may not be the reason this time. If you understand the pure qualities that a good number of new employers look for,

We all have to face the new global realities and respond to the demands by either improving our skills or showcasing acquired values properly. The section below explains some essential attributes of a beautiful CV and the abilities one must memorize for personal defense.

Putting them on your CV is not enough to guarantee a job; the values and experiences you claim on your CV must be reflected in your character, utterances, and precise applications.

Here are the attributes and qualifications for new jobs:

Previous Work Experience

Not every employer is ready for the graduate trainee phase of recruitment. They are searching for candidates with prior work experience as an advantage.

More prominent corporations spend millions of naira yearly on training fresh graduates who have little or no industrial training to proceed with the organizational structures.

But this might not be the case for startup companies, some government agencies, and many more prominent brands now that we are facing an economic recovery process.

So, acquire skills as your work experience and also showcase whatever previous work experience that can distinguish you from other applicants. This assumption leads us to the specific column that takes care of the skills and qualifications on your CV.

Qualifications, Skills and, Academic History

There is a space for qualifications and skills. In this new world order, employers prefer more skilled laborers. It is wise to mention qualifications, but do not fail to add the right skills that align with the needs of the company, agency, etc.

All these professional demands are synonymous with your academic history and professional experience. While writing, be careful with your right choice of words and captions, but in this CV sample, we have crafted the differences and aligned them in their new orders.

References

There is no possibility that no one knows you too well to refer to or recommend you for a job position. These ideas can come from either your former employer or your teacher. But the essence is that you need to be vouched for when necessary.

Since references for job positions may no longer be relevant in our time, it is recommended for compelling character tracing. This reference is different from contract surety and other forms of undertaking.

In summary, a good CV template must have the complete details of the prospective employee, ranging from their contact details to their previous work experience. And in the order below, you can drive home some ideas:

Contact information: Include your full name, address, phone number, and email address.

Academic History: List all of your education from high school to postdoctoral (if applicable).Include the title of the degree you earned, the year you graduated, and the name of the school.

Professional Experience: Include the organization where you worked, your job title, the dates you worked there, and a summary of your experience and accomplishments.

Qualifications and skills: List a combination of hard and soft skills you’ve developed throughout your career.

Awards and Honours: For each award, add the name, year received, the organization that gave you the award, and any pertinent details (such as how often it’s presented).

Publications and Presentations: For books, provide a full citation including your co-authors, date, summary, volume, page, and DOI number. For presentations, give the title, time, and venue where you presented.

Professional Associations For example, I belong to the Computer Science Students’ Association of Nigeria (NACOS). So, this should be a list of your own organizational backing. It may contain the organization’s name, location, or chapter, and the dates of active membership.

Scholarships and grants

Applicants are to write down the name of the grant or scholarship, the date awarded, and the institution or government that sponsored the awards. But if you have never been offered one before, there is no need to include it in the design of your CV.

Licenses and certifications: This is for professionals with some certifications and licenses. Include the date and the institutions from which you earned the awards.
