The short form of the Bank Verification Number (BVN) is a biometric identification scheme introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

How can a bank verification number (BVN) be registered?
Please follow the steps below to register for your Bank Verification Number (BVN):
Find your bank’s nearest branch Go to the customer care centre and pick up the BVN enrollment form, complete and also send the enrollment form.
Make sure that you enter your information quite correctly (name, date of birth, telephone number, etc.) as this may impact you in the future.
You will be asked to enter all your biometrics such as (fingerprints, the capture of facial images, and more.
You will be given an acknowledgment slip with a transaction ID after that.
The system will generate your BVN and send it to you as an SMS within 24-48 hours after your application is confirmed. Oh, thanks.

How do I use the phone to get my BVN number or code?
You don’t really need a navigation phone for this process, all you need is the sim card you used in the BVN registration and any cell phone.

How to check BVN on MTN?
Simply dial the code below and make sure you have N10 naira above on your MTN sim card to quickly search your BVN on the MTN network provider.
