You have been faced with examinations since your academic career and this one is not a total stranger, it is not rocket science, all you need to do is to read like the examination is tomorrow.

The competition is tough and you too have to be very tough to beat the challenge by going through the syllables, being optimistic that you will succeed, practicing KUST past questions and answers.

Read According To The Syllables.

Each exam is being set from some academic topics, there has never being a time when one is officially sitting for an exam without knowing the possible questions. POST UTME exam has it’s syllables where the questions being set is gotten, without you going through this outline and mastering the topics, you will be inviting failure.

There are certain approved textbooks that you can consult for the listed topics, it will help aid your understanding of the topics and get you ready for the task ahead.

Most of you who passed JAMB UTME very well do adopt this reluctant attitude that you can still pass even when you don’t read much. This is very odd for you will be surprised to see yourself not getting admitted.

Regular and timely reading is Paramount to your admission success, you can’t master the syllables in just a month or two weeks to the exam. Constant reading will get you very familiar with the topics and that is the only way you can perform well in the exam.

Practice The Past Questions And Answers

This is very important to your good performance in POST UTME. Most schools have adopted the method of recycling questions by lifting questions from previous years.

If you are practicing the past questions and answers, whenever you come across the same question you have seen before, it will be easy to recognize and the answer will be supplied without much stress.

Past Questions And Answers can also help you build speed and accuracy, POST UTME has two features which is accuracy and speed. It is highly timed and the system shutdown when your allotted time elapsed, if you don’t have the required accuracy and speed, you won’t be able to finish the questions.

Past questions and answers can aid your reading, whenever you meet a tough question, you can note it down and consult the textbook later on for a proper explanation. Continuing with this method will make your understanding of most of the topics easy.

Be Optimistic

You might have heard of how hard POST UTME has become these days and other stories which are scary, you don’t have to flinch because of this, every year thousands of people make it to the University and they are not aliens. You can also be like those successful students that make it.

All that is required of you is to be resilient, study regularly, and practice your past questions and answers. Set a target for yourself, it will be a reinforcing point for you because you will be wanting to meet that target.

Be very optimistic that you will succeed and back it up with action. Remember that you are facing a serious competition and it is only by scoring high that you can surmount the challenge.

Don’t Be Late

On the day of your examination, always try to be in the exam venue on time, don’t come late for lateness has a disadvantage.

The exam is meant to be written with peace of mind to aid the recovery of stored information from the memory.

If you arrive late, you will be subjected to questioning and other things that might instill pressure in you, this is very bad for such an exam that is competitively ridden.

Most of you who will be writing the exam will be coming from a far distance, don’t make the mistake of starting your travel on the day of the exam, you may not meet up with time because of unforeseen circumstances.

You should travel 2-3 days before the exam, it will buy you time to locate your exam venue, sort out other issues like accommodation, and give you time for revision. This is very stress-free and relaxation is important before such a task.

Proper Course Combination

It is very wise and necessary to check through the brochure for the subjects required in your chosen course.

Don’t choose subjects because you are good at it, always ensure that it is the right one to be written. Wrong subjects can limit your chances of getting that course you choose.

Cut-off Mark to a large extent predicts your chances of admission, doesn’t have a wrong belief that even though your score is not too high in JAMB, you can make it up in screening.

A lot of students also will be getting high scores and if they have good grades in JAMB, they will outrun you.

Always align your score with that of the school cut-off mark, if your chances of securing admission with your score are slim, change plan and switch to another course with lower score requirement to salvage the situation.

Change of course is permitted and that can be carried out in the school portal within the giving period mapped out for it.
