In response to a concerning decline in the number of girls in certain parts of the country, the Indira Gandhi Girl Child Scholarship was established after thorough educational research.

This decline has left boys with disproportionately higher numbers in some regions. The initiative aims to address the gender disparity in education, where girls are often denied opportunities compared to their male counterparts.

If the Indira Gandhi Girl Child Scholarship doesn’t meet your criteria, you can explore other options, such as the Pm Modi Scholarship for Indian Students 2020. In the education sector, girls face challenges that go beyond academics, with societal pressures forcing them into roles that limit their educational pursuits.

Despite the government’s efforts, including schemes offering free education for girls, the issue persists. To counter this, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has introduced a postgraduate Indira Gandhi Girl Child Scholarship, specifically targeting the only girl child in a family.
