Massive Match against Corruption by the Youths and others in Kano (Video)

The Walk against Corruption in Kano State welcomed a massive turnout by youths of the NYSC, the officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the representatives from the State Government, the NYSC officials, and other concerned bodies in the state.

This massive walk is proof that the fight against corruption is a wind that has blown around all corners of the Nigerian government. On this note, the National Youth Service Corps, today (14th February 2020), held a massive match against corruption, which was tagged Youth Walk against Corruption.

This article, however, is a correspondent’s report on the Youth Walk against Corruption as it was carried out by the EFCC in collaboration with The National Youth Service Corps and other voluntary bodies in Kano State.

The Match against corruption took off from the EFCC camp, Haji Kano State at about 7:20 AM covering a distance with youths enchanting “NO to all manner of Corruption” alongside the State Governor who was represented, Kano State NYSC Coordinator Malam Ladan Baba, the NYSC Director-General Brigadier-General Shuaibu Ibrahim, the EFCC Boss (Kano State) with other recognized presence.

The Corp members with the NYSC officials and other bodies present convened at the Race Course, Nassarawa Local Government of the state where the youths were addressed by the following dignitaries:

The NYSC Director-General, the Muslim and Christian Clerics who prayed for, advised, and encouraged the National Youth Service Corps Members to desist from all manner of corruption.

In the course of the Match, the Youths were spotted carrying various placards on which were written:

SAY No to Corruption, End Corruption Now, Say to Yahoo-Yahoo, Say no to Kidnapping 

Say No to Raping among many other inscriptions as can be seen on the images below:

This move was highly appreciated by the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who was heavily represented. In his speech, he encouraged the Youths to Continue the fight against corruption.
