The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced its plan to recruit Procurement Consultants through the REDISSE Project. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) is the government agency with the mandate to coordinate the surveillance, detection and response to infectious disease outbreaks.
The NCDC, over a couple of years, has come up with a new platform that is responsible for disease surveillance known as the Surveillance, Outbreak Response Management and Analysis System (SORMAS).
This is a body that is jointly developed between the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) with the primary aims of improving disease surveillance, rapid detection and curtailing of outbreaks with an ultimate goal of improving the public health in Nigeria.
