PM Modi scholarship, a government scholarship scheme which was recently launched and regarded as the number one scholarship scheme in India, is pleased to announce its scholarship for the year 2021/2022.
The program which was launched by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is aimed at encouraging the wards and widows of ex/serving Army, Navy, or Air force personnel of India to enable them to acquire higher technical and professional education.

What do I stand to benefit during this scholarship program?
- The government of India is committed to awarding this scholarship to a total of 5500 students annually.
- The scholarship award is equally divided amongst boys and girls, the male candidates stand a chance to get Rs30, 000 every year while the female candidates get Rs36, 000.
- Modi’s new scheme for students is allotted for a period of one to five years as per the duration of the courses approved by the institution.
- The amount of scholarship including any other scholarship or financial assistance, from any other source, will not exceed the entire amount of scholarship obtainable under this scheme.
Who is not eligible for a pm scholarship?
- The scholarship scheme is not valid for those who wished to study outside the country.
- Students who are already studying in 2nd and subsequent years are not eligible (except for integrated courses- where a 1st portion is Academic and the 2nd portion is integrated as a professional course)
- Wards of civilians including paramilitary personnel are not eligible.
- Aspirants receiving a stipend for professional degree courses
- Students pursuing studies through distance learning courses are not eligible for it.
- Master’s degree courses are not eligible for PMSS except MBA, MCA.

What do I need to know about the pm Modi scholarship award for the year 2021/2022?
All interested applicants who desire to pursue higher studies under this scheme are expected to score at least 60% marks in their last educational exams.
Candidates are expected in their first year to score at least 50% marks in their course or financial aid will not be provided for the next year.
The course is only for undergraduate studies and a few selected postgraduate studies.
Each applicant is expected to fill a form for only one course in the course of the program.
Preferential treatment will be given to widows or dependent wards of ex-servicemen or members of the coast guard force who lost their lives while in action, children or widows of those ex-servicemen or coast guard who suffered from any injury while on duty and were rendered disabled.
Family members of those soldiers whose death was caused by Army related causes while on duty, candidates whose husbands or fathers were able to come to the service of the nation and received any gallant awards.
Family members of former soldiers who suffered from any injury and became disabled. Children and widows of former coast guard members as well as ex-servicemen who fall in the personnel “Below Officer Rank” category

- Fill the form with personal details such as name, age, ESM service number, academic details, and so on
- The application has to be filled in two parts, after each part is filled, applicants are expected to click submit to save the application.
