Capacity Building

In 2017, through the International Office, the University implemented a Capacity Building Program primarily aimed at professors and staff about significant issues on education, nationally and internationally.

The first phase of the program was focused on the subject Curriculum Internationalization upon which different activities have been made:-

  • Webinars with Universities from other countries which share their knowledge and experience about the subject
  • Virtual courses
  • Workshops and conferences with international experts on the subject

Global Citizenship

One of UAN’s strategic institutional projects is the Internationalization Laboratory (UAN INT-LAB), a space for reflection and collective construction, guided by the American Council on Education.

The laboratory is organized in seven (7) dimensions which address a comprehensive internationalization of the institutions involved.

This objective had driven the University to a holistic conception of its internationalization process and an engagement of its academic community in all the processes, actions, and activities made to achieve its goal.

In that sense, it is important to highlight the compromise of UAN staff and academics working in the “curriculum, co-curriculum, and learning outcomes” dimension.

Through which the Institution had include courses made with Universities abroad, subjects about worldwide issues (Big Data, Sustainability, SDO, etc.), and construction of the academic programs.

Which is based on international structures in order to offer to Universidad Antonio Narino students an education that allows them to become citizens of the world.

Throughout his history, UAN has incorporated the democratization of education as a core principle.

Its commitment is reflected in its nationwide network, with campuses in 26 cities even in remote Colombian regions.

Intercultural Dialogue
