The Manatee School of art admission requirement entails simplicity and consideration. Why? because the school is a public charter school that continually accepts applications from students interested in the school.

Their enrollment sessions are usually in the late winter and early spring.

Manatee Charter School

Manatee School for the Arts (MSA) is a public charter school. A charter school is a public school run by a not for profit corporation under contract (charter) with a sponsor, usually the local school board.

MSA is operated by Renaissance Arts and Education, Inc., a not for profit Florida Corporation recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt, 501 (c)(3) corporation, under contract with the Manatee County School Board. 

Furthermore, institutions in Florida are referred to as public according to the law of the state. At this institution, every indigene of the state is eligible to apply and study MSA middle school offers grades six (6), seven (7), and eight (8).

Moreover, for 2018-2019 MSA expects to enroll approximately 1,200 middle school students and 950 high school students. 

Also, each class is expected to have a covering of about 22 students. Classes Schedules:

Four (4) eighty-five (85) minute periods of instruction per day.

There are lots of accomplishments by Manatee School for the art, however, they are one of five Gold Seal of Excellence Charter Schools in the state of Florida and have been recognized by the Department of Education as a High Performing Charter School!!

The school is a public charter school that accepts applications from students interested in the school. They have enrollment sessions in the late winter and early spring.

Although there are limits to the school class size, the good news is, students who are not accepted due to class size restrictions will be placed on a waiting list.

After being accepted to MSA, ensure your parent complete a registration form and submit all academic records to complete registration to the school within two weeks of acceptance or you may lose your seat to another applicant.

Are you a Manatee County resident new to the School District of Manatee County? So, You may enroll directly at the zone assigned school that serves your address.

However, to enroll, contact your zoned school’s office directly for registration times and required documents. 

Is there Scholarship for Student applying for Manatee School for art?

The school is free for every applicant although there are other benefits for exceptional students. More importantly, transportation is provided for most Manatee County students.

Exceptional Student 

Exceptional students will be provided with programs implemented in accordance with federal and state policies and procedures. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Controlled Open Enrollment School Choice

If you seek to enroll in a School District of Manatee County School other than your zone assigned school for the next school year. Consequently, you may apply during the Controlled Open Enrollment School Choice dates.

However, school administration and regular activities for the year 2021/2022 resume back on December 1, 2020. As of the time this article was posted.

The Controlled Open Enrollment School Choice Application process allows parents to apply for KG-10th grade during the controlled open enrollment school choice dates set for December 1-31, 2020.

Hardship Transfer Application 

Rising 11th or 12th-grade students wanting to request a school other than the zone assigned school for next school year may apply through the Hardship Transfer Application beginning December 1, 2020.

Student transfer decisions are based on capacity, demonstration of genuine need, and student history.

Transfer Student Application

The Families who are new to Manatee County or who want to transfer between schools or districts during the current school year may submit a Hardship Request Form if their zone assigned school poses a hardship.

Transfer approval is based on space availability, demonstration of genuine need, and student history.
