Chevron Scholarship 2020 Application (JV National University Awards)

NNPC/Chevron JV National University Scholarship Awards

The Chevron Scholarship 2020 board is pleased to announce the online application of the NNPC/Chevron National University Scholarship Awards 2020/2021 academic session.

We also encourage to use the scholarship information below to complete their free form.

Every year, over 3,000 students are offered the NNPC/Chevron National University Scholarship Awards, which has been sponsored by the Chevron Nigeria Limited (in partnership with its Joint venture partners).

This has been seen as the organization’s social responsibility for some years now. And the scholarships are only tenable in Nigerian institutions.

Importance of NNPC/Chevron Scholarships

In Nigeria, poverty has one index that does not attract dispute, over many lives and families. So the importance of the Chevron scholarship 2020 application can never be overemphasized in most education histories of students.

And apart from this, communities are defenceless when the need to combat illiteracy becomes the topic.

Because of the gross misconducts of the government and people in authority coupled with misconceptions and ethnicity, and religious-based nepotism and other undemocratic conducts that have always kept the nation on a thin profile, economically.

But despite these challenges, some organizations still find pleasure in sponsoring brilliant students and young future leaders in achieving their academic and career goals in Nigeria.

When study opportunities such as education funding plans, career (such as skill) mentorship, business grants, etc. are discussed, what comes to mind is the less privileged.

But on the contrary, it has been hard for organizations to filter the students that need these funds in that boards only look at academic history and local government of origin.

On the other hand, this is a factor that makes opportunities more competitive, and we advise our students to strive to be attractive.

Getting a scholarship position by merit is also an achievement worth of parents and guardians’ brag.

The importance of scholarships above draws us to a fundamental question on who needs scholarships in Nigeria.

Who Needs Educational Funds in Nigeria?

Even without any expert’s analysis, experiences alone suggest that over 60% of students in Nigeria come from lower-income families.

Most of these students are offspring of either polygamous families or well-populated homes, with everyone depending on parents for educational funds and other expenses.

The ongoing applications for the Chevron scholarship 2020 helped us see through the rate at which these opportunities attract interest.

Because only a fraction of this population has developed skills that can take care of their academic demands, scholarships are other means of raising funds to become paramount.

There is nothing as harmful as coming from a home that cannot afford a hundred dollars every week; or maintain the even record in months.

This condition being the case, there is no reason to be unhappy as you are faced with alternatives, as a student in Nigeria.

It’s either you are favoured by the Chevron scholarship 2020, or other available scholarships for undergraduate students in Nigeria.

Chances are, also, that when portals reopen for scholarship opportunities, students from all backgrounds apply.

This brings us close to the question above, on ‘who needs a scholarship or education funds in Nigeria’

From the explanations above, it was evident that what indicates your needs for the scholarship is academic history. The scholarship bodies have not been able to figure out a means distinguishing applicants from wealthy backgrounds from those from the other side.

If you want to continue paying your school fees and carry other financial burdens as a student in Nigeria, then your journey to building a distinguished academic history should begin now.

However, not being able to secure positions for any of these awards, students from such less privileged homes should take our advice and go for high yielding skills that can take care of their needs in school.

Interested candidates can also reach any of our administrators for mentorships and career development.
