University of New Brunswick Admission and Scholarship

The University of New Brunswick is one of the universities in Canada with less or no application fee. However, they offer scholarships to both local and international students. In addition, the university has other financial aids and offers students jobs at the university.

Brief history

The University of New Brunswick is located in the traditional territory of the Wolastoqey people. However, the university was established in the year 1785. It is the first English-language university in Canada. However, their first spoken language on the land of Wolastoqey was Wolastoqey latuwewakon.  Moreover, the first lectures on the land were the lectures of the Wolstoqiyik.

The post-First World War era brought the first great expansion of the physical facilities of the campus.

In 1920, UNB consisted of Sir Howard Douglas Hall, the Science Building, the small Observatory, a small gymnasium and the Dominion Entomological Laboratory.

The first university residence was a gift from Lord Beaverbrook who, growing up in New Brunswick as William Maxwell Aitken, studied law, and over the succeeding years developed an increasing interest in the welfare of the university.

Other buildings brought into being through his efforts and those of his family were:

  • Lady Beaverbrook Gymnasium
  • Aitken House
  • Faculty of Law building
  • Aitken Centre

 Financial aid

The university structured itself in a nice and also, wonderful way to make her students and environment conducive for learning. However, you can explore this 2021 Redeemer University Admission and Scholarship Opportunities.

The university made it possible by providing a loan application for the student.

However, this aid is to keep the students from making principle payments until six months after they graduate or stop being full-time student.

More importantly, the interest of the loan is being paid, however, by the federal government and state government.

Also, the university has many ways of giving financial aids to students.

Scholarships offered by the University of New Brunswick
