Enrolling in a university is a big decision, and you don’t need a complicated admissions process slowing you down. At JU they have simplified the application process because they know their students demand accessibility.

To get the process going immediately, you can apply online. It takes approximately 30 minutes for the application to complete. The applicants must be 18 years of age.

You must fulfill the following minimum criteria in order to be eligible for admission to JU, although meeting these requirements does not guarantee admission:

Provisions for General Admission

  • Priority for admission shall be given to an applicant who has a high scholastic status, whose professional experience has been superior and who has received good recommendations.
  • In order to run a graduate program in a university department, a minimum of ten students should be admitted in any one year, except in clinical disciplines where even less than 10 students can be enrolled as it has a service component. However the respective DGC shall determine the optimum (minimum and maximum) number of students in the various programmes, taking into account the number of staff, the availability of space and the demand for training.
  • The SGS may from time to time, include additional admission requirements consistent with the rules and regulations of the university. These may be of general application or may relate to particular graduate studies programs.

The college is one of the best colleges in the university, this college formally kicked off its activities in the year 2010, in Debark University.

The college consists of six BSC degree awarding departments to include; Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Computer science and Statics.

In the year 2011, the college launched information technology (IT) department.

 The college of natural and computational sciences is well organized and highly equipped also to give you the best kind of training that will make you astounding in any of your chosen department.

The College of Agriculture and Environmental Science

The college of Agriculture and environmental science is also one of the College in Debark University.

The college was established recently, just in 2017 with about 20 academic staff, highly trained to deliver to the student the quality education in the field of agriculture.

The college of Agriculture and environmental science is consist of five different under-listed departments, namely;

Currently, the college is running five undergraduate programs.

In the 2019/2020 academic year, the college has 51 academic staffs working consistently (3 lab assistants – 3 males and 48 lecturers having a second degree – 37 males and 11 females, among those 4 of them are doing their PhD study and the other one is doing MSc degree.

The 2019/2020 data reveals that the college also has535 undergraduate students in five departments. 

The college didn’t stop at that.

This college is one of the colleges that made up the four colleges of the University. It was established in the year 2017.

Its establishment aims to actualize the vision of the University, it is born out of great desire to satisfy the overzealous hunger to train business expert that will positively influence the society in the various field of business ventures.

The college officially kicked off in 2017/18 academic secession with about 425 regular students in a degree program, in Accounting and Finance, Management, Economics and Tourism and Hotel Management.

The college launched another undergraduate program on Marketing Management in 2018 thereby making it the fifth economic department in the college.

The college is well equipped with a very good number of academic staff numbering up to 48 academic staffs.

They also admit up 1,025 students in all their program, out of which, 713 in regular programs while 312 in the continuing education program. They also offer a HERQA accredited curriculum in five undergraduate programs.

Academic Calendar

The University operates on the two-semester calendar of seventeen weeks, for regular and extension students (fifteen weeks of classes and practical’s and two weeks of the exam).

While the summer education programs operate on terms bases.

It is the duty of the University registrar and alumni directorate to prepare the academic calendar each year, subject to approval by the University senate.

Undergraduates Admission Process

Any potential student seeking undergraduate admission into Debark University must have completed his/her preparatory secondary education and obtain all the required mark in the Entrance examination to be eligible to enrol.

At the end of each year, the Zagazig University High Council decides the number of Egyptian students acknowledged in each faculty or college.

Among those who have surpassed the common secondary school or any equivalent certificate, in relation to the strategies of the faculty councils after obtaining the point of view of separate faculties.

Following its deciding affliction, the high council of each faculty will determine the number of students recognized among the aliens.

A judgment from the Minister of Higher Education is subsequently given, whereupon students are concentrated on different faculties.

Students with a commercial secondary school certificate are approved in trade schools.

In agricultural schools, students who have passed the high-rate agricultural secondary school exams are remembered.

In engineering schools, students from technical schools are also accepted. Many that have exceeded the General Nursing Certificate are accepted at the High Institution of Nursing.

Those that have a related certificate are accepted in the educational institutions and girls’ faculties; those who have passed the technical institution and the like may also be approved in certain faculties.

Graduates of the Commercial Secondary School, of the Scientific Secondary School, and of the Agricultural Secondary School shall be enrolled in the Technical Coaching Offices of the Faculty of Education.

And in some branches of the Higher Institute of Efficient Sufficiency of the University of Zagazig, in compliance with the discipline and conditions of the Higher Council of the University.

The medical examination shall show the good health of the applicant and the absence of illnesses for the resumption of the studies drawn up by the University Higher Council and the University Faculties in order to strengthen conformity with the principles.

If an applicant is a worker, he must offer a work license showing that his owners are permitted to pursue his research, whether he or she works in governmental or non-governmental positions.

Relatively an applicant should have a good reputation regardless of where he or she is from.

Applicants can refer to those holding a bachelor’s degree or a licensee’s degree or equivalent in separate branches of a bachelor’s degree or a licensee in other colleges or faculties, subject to the requirements of the internal calendars of each faculty or organization.

In this case, a decision from the university president or his vice-presidents is necessary.

Any applicant who dreams of enrolling in a university must join just one faculty. It would be denied to a student who joins more than one faculty at the exact time.

About The Faculty of Science, Cairo University

On March 11, 1925, the Faculty of Science was created. Appendix El-Zaafran Saraya occupies El-Abbaseya.

The research at the college began the following sections were used at that time: (Mathematics-Physics-Chemistry-Botany-Zoology-Geology), where most of the staff members were working. They were foreign, but a few were Egyptians.

The Department of the Prof. Dr. /Ali Mustafa Meshrefa was in charge of mathematics-and after that, In May 1936, he became the first Egyptian College Dean.

The Entomology Department was then set up in 1948. In 1950, the faculty was relocated from the El-Zaafran Saraya annex at El-Zaafran to its current location on the Giza campus of the university.

The Department of Meteorology and Astronomy was subsequently established in 1966. The faculty was recently completed with the 1982 establishment of the Departments of Geophysics and Biophysics.

Program Gateway 

The Gateway Program is an additional resource that offers additional resources and support and is open at UPEI to both new and returning students.

From the beginning, it helps students build powerful habits-time management, organization, mentoring, effective research methods, access to resources, and more! 

All students at UPEI, Cairo Campus are eligible for enrollment in the Gateway Program.

For first-year students who scored between 65-69.9% in the admission criteria, however, it is obligatory. 

Students with a 65-69.9 percent average joining the university would automatically be enrolled in the Gateway Program and must: 

  • To engage in 1-3 academic courses

Admission Requirements

  • General Certificate of Education (GCE / IGCSE) specifications 
  • Sustainable Design Engineering: 5 ‘O’ levels in suitable subjects with no grade below 65% and 1 AS level in Mathematics (minimum grade B) 
  • Science: 5 levels of ‘O’ in related subjects and 1 level of AS in Mathematics (minimum grade B) 
  • Business: 5 ‘O’ levels in Mathematics in the required subjects with a minimum grade of B 
  • Arts: 5 levels of ‘O’ in suitable subjects. Note: For an economics major, a minimum grade of B in mathematics is expected 

Certain requisites for admission: 

  • English proof of proficiency (if available). For the English Placement Exam, students who have not submitted the IELTS, TOEFL, or Duo-lingo with the appropriate test score will be required to sit. 
  • During the academic year, to prevent any English (EAP) courses, the university would need either:
  • A cumulative IELTS score of 6.5, with 6.5 in writing, no other band below 6, or 6.5 in writing 
  • A TOEFL Internet-based Test Score of 80 + in each category with a minimum of 20, or 
  • A 550 TOEFL Paper-based Test Score with a minimum TWE of 5.5, or a minimum TWE of 5.5

  1. Once you have got your offer letter from the University of Canada in Egypt, the faster, the better. 
  2. Send student.residence@uofcanada.edu.egu. a copy of your bid with proof of payment for your tuition deposit. 
  3. Complete both the application form for housing and the form for parental release/emergency. 
  4. Review and send out the completed forms to student.residence@uofcanada.edu.eg. 
  5. Pay the 5000 EGP down payment to the Student Residences and provide student.residence@uofcanada.edu.eg with proof of payment. To see the various payment methods, please follow this link. 
  6. You will be allocated a room based on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of the above items.

ABOUT

In 1950, Ain Shams University was founded and was based in Egypt. The university has seven campus sites and offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

The Ibrahim Pasha’s University which happens to be the third-oldest non-sectarian native public Egyptian university (former Islamic universities such as Al-Azhar and private schools such as the American University in Cairo are older).

The Campuses

Eight campuses are situated at Ain Shams University. Two of them, separated by a major road called El-Khalifa El-Maamoun, are adjacent to each other; both of them are in Greater Cairo.

In addition to the faculty of Computer Literature, Science, Law, and Architecture, the main campus is in Abbassia, Cairo and houses the Administration and Management at the Saffron Palace, Science Education Growth Centre, Central Library, Child Hood Center, and the University City (students’ hostel).

The Faculty of Business, Alsun, Pharmaceutical Science, and Dentistry were located on the opposite campus.

Women’s College has a campus of its own. In Abassia, Heliopolis, and Shubra El Kheima, the Faculty of Specific Studies, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Agriculture are each situated on different campuses.

In order to host international students and students residing in rural provinces, Ain Shams University offers a variety of campuses to act as university towns.

But the university imposes certain requirements for the student to attend the University City that must be fulfilled.

Career Chance

Either in architecture or in manufacturing, the graduate has several work openings.

A Structural Engineer will usually be hired in the construction world by a consultant architecture firm in an office setting to formulate designs and requirements for projects such as homes, towers, stadiums, and bridges.

On the other side, the structural engineer would usually work with a civil engineering contractor supervising the erection of the building in question in the design sector.

Study Fees/Tuition For International Students:

The IUSD-Cairo research fees are set at 5000 Euros for each academic year for the 2019-2020 academic year.

For the 2020-2021 academic year, the IUSD-Cairo research fees are set at Euros 5500 for each academic year.

These costs include administrative fees, classes, access to research facilities, computing systems & libraries, and repair of the building.

At the beginning of the 1st and 2nd academic years, each student has the option of either paying the research fees in full or paying half the fees of an academic year at the beginning of each of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th semesters.

Via the IUSD-ASU Steering Committee Team, the fee amounts are subject to periodic revision.

Students from Egypt:

The IUSD-Cairo study fees for Egyptian students are determined on the basis of the number of credit hours (CH) recorded at the start of each semester.

The amount of one CH is set at 1054 EGP for the 2020-2021 academic year.

These costs include fees for administration, course offerings, access to testing equipment, computing systems & libraries, and renovation of facilities.

The Department of Structural Engineering has well-equipped labs with all the latest equipment in specialized fields to satisfy the needs of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Education Future International Scholarship 2021

Apply for the Education Future International Scholarship 2021. The scholarship is for bachelor’s, master’s degrees in all courses.

The Education Future International Scholarship 2021 is a program that is created by scholarship winners worldwide.

The scholarship is an initiative offered by past scholarship holders to provide back to society for educational causes and to help build a brighter and smarter future.

Eligibility

  • Applicant should be an Indian national with a valid Indian passport
  • Also, the applicant should have a minimum score of 60% in 10th and 12th.
  • Likewise, offered to the meritorious Indian students for studying overseas at any of the top universities globally.
  • Additionally, applicants should reflect that they lack means of self-funding their education abroad. Hence, the applicant should be planning to fund himself at least 50% through an education loan.
