About The Programme

Agbami Field is an oil field in Nigeria which discovered in late 1998. It was the second major deep-water oil field discovered off the Niger Delta, the first being Bonga Field by Shell.

The operator of the field is Star Deep Water Limited, an affiliate of Chevron. Also involved in the field are Famfa Oil, an indigenous oil company owned by the Alakija Family of Lagos, Petrobras (Brazil), Statoil, and NNPC (the national oil company of Nigeria).

Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited, a Chevron company, and operator of the Agbami Field, in its continuous support for capacity building in the health and engineering sectors as a strategic feed into the national workforce pool, is offering several University Scholarship Awards to qualified Nigerian students of ALL the states of the Federation.

The Agbami Medical and Engineering Professionals Scholarship(AMEPS), funded by Star Deep and its Agbami partners, is a significant component of the Agbami partners’ Social Investment in the strategic development of health and education in Nigeria and the Niger Delta in particular.
