While searching for funding opportunities, schools abroad, and other educational grants, one needs to consider the essential examinations and certificates that are required in order to push through any category.
At any academic or education class, there is a mark of honor that certifies candidates. And at this category of study opportunities, what we consider include the West African Certificate Examination, the early grades in pursuance of the degrees, and other additional bonuses.
But in terms of the scope of this content, we are going to explain how they can be related to helping you achieve your scholarship aims.
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) Results
The WAEC is not the only result obtained at the WASSCE because, in Nigeria, we have the National Examination Council with many other variations.
These are grades and results that basic job placement needs to distinguish candidates with or without. Also, Universities and other tertiary institutions consider it as a yardstick for enrollment in Nigeria.
These needs are many others, are why we want students to focus on earning their distinctions while they can; because it is one of the primary criteria for the NNPC/Total Scholarship 2020.
Most scholarship organizations (especially those that offer scholarships to first-year students) need the grades from these elementary examinations. It helps them ascertain the level of the students’ commitment to education and academic as a unit.
The WASSCE stands for the West African Senior School Certificate Examinations. At the same time, there are other post-primary education certificates that students can obtain from the federal levels, for University and entries into other tertiary institutions.
They can also take looks as necessary certificates for employment and other political positions in Nigeria, and most other West African countries.
For this reason, students should consider standing up very tall in the early days of their secondary school education.
Because opportunities only consider students that have a rich academic background, not the other way round.
Achieving distinctions in all subjects, including English and Mathematics (i.e., Scoring A’s and B’s), will go a long way to creating honorable platforms for students with financial needs.
In other words, if you have the dreams of having a rich academic inheritance, but you don’t have money. Scholarship opportunities will come to your aid, but only when you align yourself with excellence.
Another level of study that needs to speak for you is in the tertiary institutions because most financial aids for students go to students in their early years in either the Universities of Polytechnics.
The Early CGPA
The score from all the first year and second-year courses should be another light that shines upon your chances of being shortlisted for scholarships in Nigeria.
In Nigeria, there is no central database for selecting poor students from the mix of other students.
Most students falsify their backgrounds to gain scholarship considerations without the consent of their parents.
Some go as far as falsifying their local government of origin to partake in some community-based scholarships from some oil companies in Nigeria.
What this tells you is the level of competition that is expected at the level of selection for scholarships.
Having been in this system for a while, we have all the necessary information that can keep students guided as they go in for each of the scholarship applications for this year.
In the first and second year of students’ stay in tertiary institutions, most scholarships and other funding opportunities show up, and to harness these grants, and one needs to show proof of previous academic records.
